I enjoyed this book on so many levels。 What struck me pretty early on was that this story was unlike any that I have ever read。 I was invested in the characters from the beginning, and I didn’t want to book to end! The many storylines intertwine seamlessly with twists and turns that were not predictable。 Well worth the read!

Kristy is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint。 What a beautiful story。 And as Kristy says her books are always about hope and she loves a happy ending。 Who wouldn't want to read a book like that? It's so easy to get sucked into Kristys stories and this is no exception。 You will be hooked from the first page and not stop until it's over。 I tried to pace myself but they didnt work too well because I couldnt put it down。 Kristy is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint。 What a beautiful story。 And as Kristy says her books are always about hope and she loves a happy ending。 Who wouldn't want to read a book like that? This story drew me in from the very start。 It’s original, with smart characters and friendships that are above and beyond the norm。 I fell in love with Amelia and Parker and was rooting for them! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC。 And to Kristy Woodson Harvey for writing such a wonderful book。
Sheri,
Amelia and Parker have known each other their whole lives as they grew up as neighbors。 Life led them in different directions but they see each other often as their families run in the same social circle。 When Amelia finds out Parker and his wife Greer, who past away three years ago, had frozen embryos thought to be abandoned, she must tell him。 What unfolds is a wonderfully intriguing story。One thing I loved about this book was that the Southern Woman was almost a character in the the story。 I’ Amelia and Parker have known each other their whole lives as they grew up as neighbors。 Life led them in different directions but they see each other often as their families run in the same social circle。 When Amelia finds out Parker and his wife Greer, who past away three years ago, had frozen embryos thought to be abandoned, she must tell him。 What unfolds is a wonderfully intriguing story。One thing I loved about this book was that the Southern Woman was almost a character in the the story。 I’ve never lived in the south and reading about what the “southern woman” would do such as loud whisper instead of yell was wonderful。This is a story of love, heartbreak, lost chances, gained chances, and so much more。 The story did not play out as I thought it would and I could not put it down。 It’s a wonderful story。 。。。more

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley。 I have read several of Kristy Woodson Harvey's books before, and I think this is her best one yet! Kristy Woodson Harvey has such a fabulous writing style。 I devoured this one from start to finish。 Under the Southern Sky is beautifully written, with a unique cast of characters and the most delightful setting。 I love, love, love a book about childhood friends who long to be something more, but the circumstances and timing never break their way。 Both the hero and heroine are reeling from heartbreaking events when their paths cross once again。 Their history, including their intertwined families Kristy Woodson Harvey has such a fabulous writing style。 I devoured this one from start to finish。 Under the Southern Sky is beautifully written, with a unique cast of characters and the most delightful setting。 I love, love, love a book about childhood friends who long to be something more, but the circumstances and timing never break their way。 Both the hero and heroine are reeling from heartbreaking events when their paths cross once again。 Their history, including their intertwined families and careers in publishing, bring them into one another's orbit and what follows is a delicious will-they-or-won't-they novel。 Harvey weaves a compelling backstory into this tender saga and I just couldn't get enough。 Fans of women's fiction with a Southern twist will really enjoy this one。 Might I add that it's the perfect book to read by the pool or on the beach。Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the complimentary copy。 All opinions shared here are my own。 。。。more

Kristy is such a favorite author of mine。 She writes such heartwarming books and this is no exception。Parker and Amelia have one heck of a love story。 They have both been married to others (Parker has been widowed for years and Amelia has just been left for another) but they just don't know the extent as to which they are connected through Greer, Parker's late wife。 I like that when Amelia heard of Greer's embryos and that Parker wants someone to have them that she steps up to the plate。 She doe Kristy is such a favorite author of mine。 She writes such heartwarming books and this is no exception。Parker and Amelia have one heck of a love story。 They have both been married to others (Parker has been widowed for years and Amelia has just been left for another) but they just don't know the extent as to which they are connected through Greer, Parker's late wife。 I like that when Amelia heard of Greer's embryos and that Parker wants someone to have them that she steps up to the plate。 She doesn't want wanting in return but to give this gift to Parker。As they grow closer and we see them navigate through the pain of losing someone but being able to find solace in one another, it's beautiful。 It's not just a light summer read but also a bit heavy, but she writes it all so well!Thans to Kristy herself for sending me an ARC to read before pub date! 。。。more

Amelia was told at a young age she could never have children。 As a journalist she is researching a stoory on unclaimed embryos。 She discovers that a childhood friend, Parker has some embryos in storage。 He has been widowed for two years。 Together they explore this story as they begin to rebuild their friendship。 Sad but a good story of moving forward after tragedy。 I received a copy of this ARC for a fair and honest review。

A lot of books within this genre would barely sustain a conversation to last through getting all your book club members in the front door with drinks poured。 Under the Southern Sky, however, could lead to some lively discussion with legs。 I would have preferred several endings over the one KWH chose, but let’s be real。 I’m not sure she and I share similar worldviews。 Though I do adore her taste in home decor! Under the Southern Sky is about two childhood friends and how their lives intertwine throughout the years。 Amelia runs home to Cape Carolina after catching her husband cheating。 Parker is still stuck in the past, grieving the wife he lost three years ago。 Beautiful setting with lots of southern flair。 Two neighboring families and the secrets they keep。 A wonderful story with less than perfect characters that make the story feel real。Thanks to Gallery Books and netgalley for the arc
